Greetings from Finland!Do you happen to know if you have relatives living in Rochester, NY? I have a log-lost penfriend Gina Basehore, aged 29-31, whom I\'d like to find. As far as I remember, she has one older brother.

I stumbled upon your site last summer while I was stationed in Iraq. I forwarded the story to my son, Jacob Bashore. Now the both of us are interested in finding out more about our heritage. My father, also James Bashore, is from Bethel, PA. (I was raised out West, however). My grandparents were Miles and Anne Bashore. Are they relatives of yours? Thank you for your very informative site!

I\\\'ve recently come across a 2007 publication put out by Little Swatara Church of the Brethren (Berks County, Pennsylvania) for its 250 year anniversary. It has pictures, lists of Bashore family ancestors, and detailed description of the culture and church through its history in North America. There was a summary of the Johann Jacob Bashore family and many other people you might find interesting, though not as detailed as the story provided on your site. I really liked reading this book for its documentation of the religion of the time. It\\\'s important because it\\\'s the whole reason most of my ancestors came to America.
My Great Grandparent on my mother\\\'s side is Isaac Bashore of Berks County, PA.

Hi...I live in North Carolina (I\'m from Gaston County) and I\'ve been researching my Paysour relatives (my grandmother was a Paysour) and it has lead me to Johan George Bashore. Its interesting that the name seems to have changed into Pasour, Paseur and Paysour once it reached NC.

My fathers name was Jesse Bashore on his birth certificate, I found adoption papers stating that my father was adopted by Francis & Kathleen Carithers (who I thought were my biological grandparents) Jesse Bashores\' name was changed to John Stephen Carithers on a birth certificate dated July 31, 1943 stating he was born on March 3, 1937.
All parties were living in Rochester, Indiana area. I am just tring to find my roots, any ideas on who I am?
